Hi! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Heather, and you can find out more about me in the About page. I started blogging in 2006 when I was in high school. I fell in love with blogs, comments, and the ability to have conversations online. I've been blogging off and on since then.

After becoming a mom in 2013, I started my blog, Pilgrim Sandals (named after my favorite poem by Denise Levertov). Eventually, I moved it to this space, but I pay homage to that poem in the tagline.

I love to write about motherhood mostly--the things I'm learning, the resources I find, and all the joys of life with a small person. I also love to write about faith and hope to share more and more of my story through this blog. Stories are crucial to who we are and how we live in this world.

What I don't blog? Recipes (be thankful!), tons of Pinterest DIY, and fashion. I leave those to the bloggers much more talented than I am. At least for now.

I've compiled a list of my favorite posts on this page, as well as some place you can find me elsewhere.
